  Jim D. Cornay ...James D. Cornay

Jim Cornay began his career in the oil and gas industry in 1978, after graduating from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a B.S. in Business Administration, Economics. He obtained his CPL Certification in 1985, and in 1989-90 he served as Second Vice-President of the Lafayette Association of Petroleum Landmen, where he is currently an active member. Cornay also belongs to the American Association of Professional Landmen, as well as the Houston Association of Petroleum Landmen.


Dennis B. Lowry ...Dennis B. Lowry

After graduating from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1985 with a B.S. in Business Administration, Petroleum Land Management, Dennis Lowry began his career in Landwork, and became a CPL in November of 1992. He is an active member of the Lafayette Association of Landmen, the Houston Association of Petroleum Landmen, and the American Association of Professional Landmen.


Thomas Blanchet, Digital Mapping -- Thomas Blanchet is a life-long resident of Lafayette and has over 25 years experience as an oil and gas landman. Thomas graduated in 1982 from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a degree in Business Administration. He is now working as a GIS (Geophysical Information System) specialist and has experience in AutoCAD DWG, MGEnterprise, and ArcView.

Shawn Armand, Project Manager -- Shawn began her career as a land professional in Lafayette in 1985. She is a 1984 graduate of LSU, and has extensive experience in title and abstract management, as well as lease maintenance. Shawn served as Treasurer for the LAPL from 1999 to 2002, and also as a Director for 2 years, from 2003 through 2005. Shawn is an active member of the AAPL. She reports directly to clients concerning title and lease issues.

Rhett LaFleur, Project Manager -- Rhett has worked as a land professional since 1994, managing lease acquisition and assembling permits and options for 3-D shoots. He works directly with clients concerning day-to-day contract management and acquisition issues.

Darrell Frugé, Division Order Manager -- Darrell began his career in the land business in 2000 with Cornay-Lowry. His MBA from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and prior work experience in the Finance industry has enabled him to specialize in Division of Interest Unit Compilations and other comprehensive oil and gas title issues.

Jeff Heard, Project Manager -- Jeff graduated from McNeese State University in 1982 and began his professional land career in 1983; he reports directly to clients on a daily basis concerning current project issues. Jeff specializes in the acquisition and maintenance of 3-D options and permits and mineral leases.

Ricky Palombo, Information Technology -- Ricky Palombo is a customer-oriented professional with over 28 years experience in the design, implementation and maintenance of a wide variety of software applications. Ricky manages customized database programming at Cornay-Lowry, specializing in the integration of oil and gas land contract databases with GIS applications. Ricky acquired his Computer Science degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana.
